While others may have liked the video, and been excited about it, I was quite disappointed. Let me tell you why:
Beyonce is feeling herself too much. And not in a good way. I guess her marraige to Jay-Z has put her on a new level of “Diva” (or maybe that’s Sasha and not Beyonce) and there isn’t much that she feels that she has to do to make a creative video. Her walking around and posing is not enough to keep people interested. At least, for those of us who aren’t lusting behind her.
Maybe there’s a theme here but this video sure did fall short. I expected choreography, and those 4-counts that her choreographer stretched over 8-counts did not cut it. I was really looking forward to the excitement that I felt after I watched the “Single Ladies” video. My “GO Bee!!!” was substitued by “NO Bee. What happened?”
Also, did she really need backup dancers? Kinda random and “so what” for most people who look at the video; but for me, they served no purpose.
In the end, I feel like this video is made for Internet only. But of course, there will be those who watch the video incessantly trying to learn the moves. The good thing is, this time the moves are so easy, you’ll learn them as fast as everybody learned the songs from the first Ashanti CD … word-for-word … IN ONE DAY!!!
